About the Hackathon
This is a 2-day Hackathon hosted by Digital Catapult, where teams of students across the UK will have access to Niantic's 8th Wall platform, to create unique augmented reality experiences.
In order to participate and be eligible for prizes, you must have registered here by Wednesday 7th June. If you have not already done so, please contact the Digital Catapult team via Discord so you can be added to the 8th Wall Workspace.
Checkpoints
- Form your teams -by Wednesday 4.30pm
- Join the 8th Wall workspace (if you have not already) -by Wednesday 5.30pm
- Join the Discord & Slack channels
- Submit team & concept presentations -by Thursday 11am
- Submit final presentations -by Friday 10am
Requirements
- Only one person per team needs to submit the team's project on Devpost, that person must add all other teammate(s) to the Devpost submission.
- 8th Wall projects must be published in order to be viewed by the judges. Test before final submissions!
- Include 8th Wall URLs and/or QR codes on your final submissions, accessible on your Project Dashboard.
What to Build
The aim of this Hackathon is to build an exciting and unique Augmented Reality experience using Image Markers, aligning with the theme of "Exploring the outside world, together".
